Anne's Wine
Coming from a wine family in the Entre Deux Mers area of Bordeaux, and with a Spanish father also passionate about his native wines, Anne has always been a lover of the beauty and the mystery of wine. Nothing pleases her more than dreaming from the top of Saint Emilion ramparts overlooking the vineyards and taking in the aroma…Or drinking a voluptuous Priorato wine contemplating the dramatic landscape of this incredible Spanish wine area.
After moving around the world (and drinking many different wines), Anne arrived in London, the centre of international wines, and it seemed the right time to start to dedicate herself to sharing her passion with others.
Anne went to the Wine and Spirit Education Trust where she started to gain an academic insight. Hard work paid off, and eventually she achieved the Diploma, the qualification before Master of Wine.
“The WSET exists to promote, provide and develop high quality education and sought-after qualifications in wines and spirits for those in the wine trade and spirit trade (or intending to join it) as well as for the interested consumer. “…” We design courses, produce teaching and learning materials, set examinations and operate through a network of Approved Programme Providers around the world” Ian Harris Chief Executive.
But she found she wanted to go further, so she created her own tasting group and arranged a series of tours to various wine areas. Wine lovers always share a common language but their tastes and experience are so different that whether you are a professional taster, an amateur or a beginner, there is always something to share and learn. She was enjoying so much learning about this fantastic and ever changing wine world that she decided to start her own business.
Long before she started to study wines academically, she did fun tastings at Insead. She remember one student who had no knowledge whatsoever of wine but was full of natural confidence. That student scored full marks in a blind tasting, getting years, grape, aromas all correct … She amazed herself and was surprised that she could taste so much ….
It is in all us, but we usually do not know how to develop our own abilities...
So join Anne and she will make sure that you are having fun while learning about this very ancient beverage….
